This service is provided in any navigation room (belonging to ETECSA, Computing Joven Club, post offices, hotels) and Wi-Fi areas using temporary and permanent Nauta access accounts.

Is there any age limitation to request the service?
The service can be contracted by any person over 18 years old, although this is not an access limitation to Internet browsing for underage persons. Children under 12 years old may browse accompanied by an adult. The service usage responsibility falls on the account holder who contracts the service.

The permanent account can be requested at any ETECSA’s commercial office, and the temporary account can also be purchased at hotels, airports, tourist centers and other points of sale.

No, the email account is not offered as an independent service, it is provided in association with the international browsing account.

Yes, you can request him/her to create it for you or you can do it yourself through the USER’s PORTAL.

The password must have numbers, special characters, upper and lower case letters and a minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 20 characters.
Is it mandatory to change the password of the @nauta.cu email account?
It is not mandatory to change the email password, but for security reasons ETECSA suggests customers to do it periodically.

You can include a maximum of 20 destination addresses in a single message.
What is the storage capacity forf the Webmail mailbox?
The maximum storage capacity for the mailbox is 100 MB; beyond this capacity users will not be able to send or receive messages.
What is the maximum size that a message can have?
Each message (including text and attachments) may have a maximum size of 25 MB, either an outgoing or incoming message.
Can I redirect messages from an email account with another domain name to my @nauta.cu email account?
Yes, you can redirect them to the new account created under the @nauta.cu domain name.

What are the service hours in ETECSA’s navigation rooms?
ETECSA’s navigation rooms located in Telepuntos and Multiservice Centers are open from Monday to Sunday, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm and those located in other facilities, such as ETECSA’s commercial offices, Joven Club, post offices, hotels and others, are governed by the service schedule established in each center.
What is the browsing speed in ETECSA’s rooms?
The browsing speed in each ETECSA´s rooms is up to 2 Mbps (Megabits per second).
Can I access my permanent or temporary service from navigation rooms other than ETECSA’s (hotels, post offices, etc.)?
Users can access the service from ETECSA’s browsing rooms and in Internet service areas where service access restrictions are not implemented by the owner.
What do I need to access the WIFI_ETECSA network?
To access WIFI_ETECSA you must have a nauta access account, either permanent (it can be topped up) or temporary (it cannot be topped up) and a device (laptop, smartphone, and tablet) with Wi-Fi functionality.
How to be connected to the WIFI_ETECSA network?
*Activate the wireless signal (Wi-Fi) in your device (cell phone, laptop, and tablet)
*In coverage areas, the device will detect the wireless signal showing the access points available.
*Select the WIFI_ETECSA access and wait to be notified that you are connected or have the connection established.

How do I enable the Wi-Fi signal in the devices?
The activation of the Wi-Fi signal varies depending on the device, generally on smartphones and tablets, with Android operating system is activated through Settings › Wi-Fi or Configuration › Wi-Fi
On laptops depending on the operating system being used, the network connection icon is displayed on the screen.
What happens if I cannot connect into WIFI_ETECSA?
In Advance Options of the WIFI_ETECSA network, you must have the DHCP enabled and the Proxy disabled and, in your browser, cookies must be enabled and History empty.
What is DHCP and how is it enabled?
It stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. It is a network protocol allowing Dynamic IP address assignment.
It is enabled in the Advanced Settings options of the WIFI_ETECSA network of your device.
Where can I disable the PROXY?
In the Advanced Settings option of the WIFI_ETECSA network, look for the disable proxy option.
What happens if after typing the username and password on the nauta authentication window I cannot browse?

How can I enable Cookies?
Cookies are enabled in the browser you are using. Generally, go to “Settings” in the browser, and then look for “Security and Privacy” option.
What are Cookies?
“Cookies” are small files used by websites to store information on your device (such as login information and site preferences). That is why you need to have Cookies enabled to log in to the authentication window of the nauta portal.

What can happen if my username or password are not being accepted?
Check out that the username and password of the nauta access account are correctly typed.

If I wrongly type my username and password, will my account be blocked?
If you enter your username and/or password incorrectly for 5 consecutive times, the nauta authentication page will display a “verification code” in addition to the usual fields. If you continue to enter your username and/or password and “verification code” incorrectly for 30 consecutive times, your account will be blocked for 5 minutes.
What requirements should cell phones with Wi-Fi functionality have to guarantee the connection to the WIFI_ETECSA network?
In order to guarantee the connection to the WIFI_ETECSA network, users should preferably have smartphones. This kind of terminals already has the necessary requirements for a satisfactory connection:
*They have Operating Systems that allow them to run any type of application. The most common Operating Systems on them are: Android, iOS, Windows phone, Blackberry.
*They have the possibility of installing and using more than one browser, facilitating Internet access.
Where is the WIFI_ETECSA network available?
The WIFI_ETECSA wireless network is available in public areas, mainly in parks and areas with high public traffic. Please refer to the wireless public spaces (WIFI).
Why cannot I connect to the WIFI_ETECSA public areas with a Samsung smartphone not marketed by ETECSA?
Many times, imported terminals, which have not been marketed by ETECSA, are NOT customized for Cuba.
Generally, Samsung phones enable Wi-Fi networks and their features, in correspondence with the compliance of regulations in force for these networks in different countries or geographical areas.
It is possible for them to connect if the ETECSA’s SIM cards is removed; but this action has the disadvantage that they will not operate as a phone while connected to WIFI_ETECSA.
How can I quickly check out the nauta access account information?
Through the User Information option, available on the authentication window. Users must first enter their data, then the “available balance” in their access account, among other data of interest, are automatically displayed.
If I am connecting to WIFI_ETECSA with my cell phone, does it deduct from my phone balance?
No, the WIFI_ETECSA usage deducts from the balance of the nauta access account with which you are connected, either permanent (rechargeable) or temporary (non- rechargeable).

Yes, on WIFI_ETECSA sites you can connect the national access nauta accounts with @nauta.co.cu domain.
How many people can be connected to a WIFI_ETECSA site?
It depends on the configuration of the area, the smallest ones allow up to 50 users simultaneously and the biggest ones up to 100 users simultaneously.
Can the nauta access account be used in another site other than WIFI _ETECSA?
Yes, you can connect with the nauta account, in all those places where the service authentication is through the nauta platform and where the access point does not have a restriction at the request of a third party using it.

It may be that you are not browsing or interacting with the device, for security reasons, the system automatically closes the session after two (2) minutes of inactivity.
